Green-to-Clean Pool Treatment in Phoenix
When the water turns green, the filter is packed, and shock alone isn’t holding — a flat-priced green-to-clean treatment gets the pool swim-ready in 3–7 days on most jobs.
Aggressive shock, filter service, follow-up — priced once, in writing.
An algae bloom is rarely a chlorine problem — it’s a chain reaction. Phosphates accumulate from run-off and fertilizer, stabilizer creeps up under Phoenix summer UV, circulation slips when a filter packs out, and one monsoon storm drops enough organic debris to flip the pool green overnight. Throwing shock at it without fixing the filter and chemistry just pushes the cost forward.
Love Pool Care runs a free on-site assessment first to confirm the real cause. What looks like a chlorine issue is often a packed cartridge, a failed salt cell, or phosphates at 2,000+ ppb. The quote covers chemicals, filter service, daily or every-other-day visits during treatment, and a 14-day follow-up — flat-priced and written before any work starts.
Most residential pools are swim-ready in 3–7 days. Severely stained surfaces that won’t recover with chemistry alone are called out in the quote up front, with a drain-and-acid-wash priced separately so there are no surprises.
Four steps. No mystery line items.
A transparent treatment process with written checkpoints at every stage.
Free on-site assessment
Technician tests chlorine, stabilizer, pH and phosphates; checks filter, pump and salt cell to confirm the real cause.
Flat-price quote
Written quote covers chemicals, daily or every-other-day visits, filter service, rebalance and a 14-day follow-up. Signed before any chemistry is added.
Aggressive treatment
Triple-shock, phosphate remover and algaecide as needed. Filter cleaned or replaced. Daily visits while the bloom clears.
14-day follow-up

What you get with every green-to-clean.
Priced in writing. No surprise upcharges.
Green-to-clean pricing is quoted flat after a free on-site assessment — chemicals, daily visits, filter service and the 14-day follow-up all included. Drain-and-acid-wash is quoted separately only when the surface is too stained to recover with chemistry alone.
Green-to-clean — answered.
Most residential pools are swim-ready in 3–7 days from the first treatment visit. Severely stained surfaces that chemistry can’t recover sometimes need a drain-and-acid-wash — that’s called out in the quote before any work starts, so you know the path up front.
Usually no. A chemistry-driven treatment clears more than 95% of green pools without draining. A drain-and-acid-wash is only recommended when the plaster is heavily stained or the total dissolved solids are too high to recover with balancing — and we’ll tell you that on the assessment visit, not after the fact.
All treatment chemicals (triple-shock, phosphate remover, algaecide and balancing agents), filter service or replacement, daily or every-other-day visits through the bloom, full rebalance on completion, and a 14-day follow-up visit. Everything is itemized on the quote before work starts — no surprise chemistry line items at the end.
Not if the root cause is addressed during treatment. Phosphate buildup, a packed filter, stabilizer creep and broken chlorinators or salt cells are all found and fixed as part of the work. A weekly service plan afterward keeps phosphates and stabilizer from drifting back into bloom territory — that’s the most reliable prevention.
Yes. Chlorine levels run elevated during shock, but the water stays contained in the pool — nothing is applied to surrounding yard, plants, or decking. Pets should stay out of the pool until chlorine normalizes (usually 24–48 hours after the last shock dose); every visit note includes the day the pool is safe to swim again.
Almost always one of four things: phosphate buildup from fertilizer run-off or bather load, stabilizer creep from summer UV (chlorine stops working above 80–100 ppm cyanuric acid), a packed filter that isn’t trapping debris anymore, or a failed salt cell / chlorinator that quietly stopped producing. Monsoons, heat waves and power outages push normally-healthy pools over the edge fast — which is why weekly service schedules in Phoenix build in a bonus visit after named storms.
