What this covers

One contract. One schedule. One crew.

A Phoenix pool remodel typically means the plaster is 12+ years old, the tile is chalky, the equipment pad is from the early 2000s, and nobody feels like running a general contractor on the weekends. Love Pool Care runs the whole project — surface, tile, coping, decking tie-in, equipment pad rebuild, LED lighting, automation — under a single fixed contract with a published day-by-day schedule.

The remodel starts with a free on-site design consult: water chemistry is tested to understand what killed the surface, the equipment pad is evaluated for salvage versus replacement, and the homeowner picks finishes (plaster type, tile, coping, lighting color, water features) from physical samples. Everything is priced in writing before any demolition begins.

Typical residential remodels run 3–6 weeks depending on scope. Weekly photo updates are shared by text so you always know what stage the project is at.

Questions

Pool Remodel — answered.

Most Phoenix residential remodels run 3–6 weeks from demolition to final water balance, depending on scope. A plaster-only refresh is on the shorter end; a full surface + tile + coping + equipment pad rebuild + water features is on the longer end. A firm start date and substantial-completion date are written into your fixed-price contract.

Quartz and pebble finishes carry a manufacturer warranty ranging from 5 to 15 years depending on product and surface type. Love Pool Care provides a 1-year workmanship warranty on the installation itself. Both warranties are printed on your invoice with the product SKU and install date so there’s no ambiguity years later when a claim matters.

No — the pool is drained and the surface is physically chipped out during demolition, then the new finish cures for 28 days with a strict chemistry schedule. The total pool-down window is typically 4–6 weeks. If you have a spa that is on a separate system, it can sometimes stay in use; that’s confirmed during the design consult.

For surface-and-tile refreshes alone, typically no. For work that touches the equipment pad electrical, adds new gas lines for heaters, or modifies the structure (new water features, drain conversions, barrier requirements), city permits are required. Permit filing is handled by Love Pool Care and included in the contract price.

Standard white plaster, colored quartz (StoneScapes, PebbleTec, Diamond Brite), mini-pebble, polished pebble, and all-tile finishes. Coping options include travertine, flagstone, precast concrete and porcelain. Physical samples are brought to the design consult so you’re not picking from a phone screen.

Yes — and that’s the right time to do it. Running automation conduit, new LED lighting, sheer descents, deck jets and fire bowls is dramatically cheaper and cleaner while the pool is already drained and the deck is already open. Automation is commissioned and programmed as part of the final walkthrough.
